Learning Outcomes

The Postgraduate Diploma Course aims to:

  • Provide basic background knowledge of the relevant literature about the use of the Internet in foreign and second language teaching.
  • Develop the necessary pedagogical and methodological skills to effectively implement the Internet in foreign and second language teaching and to design web-based language teaching materials.
  • Provide technical knowledge and skills about the Internet applications relevant for foreign and second language learning and teaching.
  • Develop skills and knowledge to link recent insights in foreign and second language acquisition to the design and the evaluation of Internet-based language learning materials.

On completion of the Diploma course, students can use the credit points obtained to fulfil part of the requirements for the professional MA “New Technologies and Language Teaching”.
