Prerequisites

ICT skills

For every part of the programme specific ICT skills are required. Please check the entrance requirements for the modules, the design task and the essay.

Please note that all technical instructions in the modules are specified for users of the Windows and Explorer version 5-platform only. Unfortunately, we cannot offer technical instructions for Mac users. However, we expect that experienced Mac users will have no serious problems following the programme.

Pedagogical knowledge and skills

A general knowledge about second language acquisition theories and about language teaching methodology is recommended. Experienced foreign and second language teachers, who wish to extend their knowledge in the field of ICT for language teaching are eligible for the programme.

Language skills

Applicants will need to have proof of appropriate level of proficiency in English (see below for the specific requirements). Due to the nature of this course, this is especially relevant for reading and writing skills.

An applicant has to prove that he/she has sufficient English language skills by submitting an IELTS, TOEFL (international), or Cambridge test score that meets the Postgraduate Diploma requirements. No test score that is more than two years old will be accepted unless a student can submit evidence that he/she has regularly been practising his/her English since the time the test was taken.
