The editors strive to publish articles with clear and vivid language to describe L1 research. Before submitting an article, please download and read our stylesheet . L1 accepts carefully edited manuscripts. After your article is accepted, the editors will guide authors through modeling a process of skillfully editing the manuscript. Note that the publisher charges neither subscription rates from readers nor author publication rates from authors. Therefore, where necessary, authors should use a professional linguistic editing service before submitting and before publishing the work. Authors are advised to include publication costs in their research budget/grant proposals.
